Service Description

Our Cosmetology course includes instruction in both theory and practical experience. It also includes all the basic principles of hair-cutting, hair coloring, hair styling, manicures, pedicures, skin care, clinical sanitation procedures, state law, chemistry, anatomy and business management. COSMETOLOGY - 1500 HOURS DESCRIPTION OF COURSE: The Cosmetology course was established for those entering the world of Cosmetology. It provides necessary training needed to obtain a license to practice Cosmetology. The course includes education for all areas of Cosmetology. The Cosmetology Course is designed to train the student in the basic manipulative skills, safety judgements, proper work habits, business skills, and desirable attitudes necessary to obtain licensure and for competency in job entry-level positions in Cosmetology or a related career field. A student must have a high school education or its equivalency and 17 years of age upon enrollment. COURSE OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course the student should be prepared for the State Board Examination in order to: 1.Become a licensed Cosmetologist 2. Practice the art of Cosmetology as:

 Nail Technician METHOD OF INSTRUCTION: Instruction techniques include classroom instruction, lessons, lecture, directed discovery, demonstrations, and the use of audio visual and printed materials. Instructors supervise students as they practice their operations on a live model or mannequin. The use of practical testing criteria and written are utilized to evaluate student progress. Course materials and lectures are taught in English language. Our school operates on clock hours. “Clock Hour” means a period of 60 minutes with a minimum of 50 minutes of instruction in the presence of an instructor. To ensure continued career success, the student will continue to learn new and current information related to skills, trend, and methods for career development in their particular course of study.
