Cosmetology Course - $7500
Our Cosmetology course includes instruction in both theory and practical experience. It also covers all the basic principles of hair cutting, hair coloring, hair styling, manicures, pedicures, skincare, clinical sanitation procedures, state law, chemistry, anatomy, and business management.
COSMETOLOGY COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The Cosmetology course is 1500 hours and was established for those entering the world of Cosmetology. It provides the necessary training needed to obtain a license to practice Cosmetology. The course includes education for all areas of Cosmetology. The Cosmetology Course is designed to train the student in the basic manipulative skills, safety judgments, proper work habits, business skills, and desirable attitudes necessary to obtain licensure and competency in entry-level positions in Cosmetology or a related career field. A student must have a high school education or its equivalency and be 17 years of age upon enrollment.
COURSE OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course, the student should be prepared for the State Board Examination to:
1. Become a licensed Cosmetologist
2. Practice the art of Cosmetology as:

A salon owner/operator , Makeup Artist, Skin Care Specialist, Cosmetic chemist , Beauty Advisor , Hair Colorist, Retail Specialist, Platform Competition Stylist, Educational Specialist, and Nail Technician
METHOD OF INSTRUCTION: Instruction techniques include classroom instruction, lessons, lectures, directed discovery, demonstrations, and the use of audio-visual and printed materials. Instructors supervise students as they practice their operations on a live model or mannequin. The use of practical testing criteria and written are utilized to evaluate student progress. Course materials and lectures are taught in English language. Our school operates on clock hours. “Clock Hour” means a period of 60 minutes with a minimum of 50 minutes of instruction in the presence of an instructor. To ensure continued career success, the student will continue to learn new and current information related to skills, trend, and methods for career development in their particular course of study. Hair Station Studio College of Beauty uses the current edition of Milady Textbooks.
