Cosmetology Course - $7500

Our Cosmetology course includes instruction in both theory and practical experience. It also covers all the basic principles of hair cutting, hair coloring, hair styling, manicures, pedicures, skincare, clinical sanitation procedures, state law, chemistry, anatomy, and business management.
COSMETOLOGY COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The Cosmetology course is 1500 hours and was established for those entering the world of Cosmetology. It provides the necessary training needed to obtain a license to practice Cosmetology. The course includes education for all areas of Cosmetology. The Cosmetology Course is designed to train the student in the basic manipulative skills, safety judgments, proper work habits, business skills, and desirable attitudes necessary to obtain licensure and competency in entry-level positions in Cosmetology or a related career field. A student must have a high school education or its equivalency and be 17 years of age upon enrollment.
COURSE OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course, the student should be prepared for the State Board Examination to:
1. Become a licensed Cosmetologist
2. Practice the art of Cosmetology as:

A salon owner/operator , Makeup Artist, Skin Care Specialist, Cosmetic chemist , Beauty Advisor , Hair Colorist, Retail Specialist, Platform Competition Stylist, Educational Specialist, and Nail Technician
METHOD OF INSTRUCTION: Instruction techniques include classroom instruction, lessons, lectures, directed discovery, demonstrations, and the use of audio-visual and printed materials. Instructors supervise students as they practice their operations on a live model or mannequin. The use of practical testing criteria and written are utilized to evaluate student progress. Course materials and lectures are taught in English language. Our school operates on clock hours. “Clock Hour” means a period of 60 minutes with a minimum of 50 minutes of instruction in the presence of an instructor. To ensure continued career success, the student will continue to learn new and current information related to skills, trend, and methods for career development in their particular course of study. Hair Station Studio College of Beauty uses the current edition of Milady Textbooks.

Our rigorous curriculum has information that will never expire due to its dynamic, didactic, engaging delivery of knowledge specifically written and formulated for both today's and tomorrow's educators. A prospective student for the Instructor's Program must hold a valid license in the field he/she is approved to teach for at least 3 continuous years.
COSMETOLOGY INSTRUCTOR TRAINING
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The purpose of the Cosmetology Instructor program is to offer teaching methods, learning principles, and professional growth for striving career educators. The 1000-hour program is designed to work effectively in an instructor-led environment but can also be used in a mentor self-study environment. It takes the basic instructor to the next level and deals with principles more relevant to a seasoned educator or individual who wants to pursue professional development.

There shall be a minimum total accumulation of 1000 (clock) hours. The State of Mississippi law requirements for academic and practical classes in cosmetology instructors are divided approximately as follows: 60% clinic work and 40% classroom (both academic and practical application).
Students are responsible for paying the total tuition and fees and applicable loans plus interest.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
To graduate from the program of study and receive a Diploma, a student must successfully complete 1000 clock hours, required tests, and practical assignments; pass all written and practical examinations with an 75% average; complete the program according to the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology requirements; complete all exit paperwork; attend an exit interview and make satisfactory arrangements for payment of all debts owed to the school.
Career opportunities include: Cosmetology School Manager, Cosmetology School Instructor, Platform Educator, Lecturer, Styles Director, and School Ownership.
Esthetics Course - $7500

Our Esthetics course includes instruction in both theory and practical experience. Esthetics includes skin care, facials, massage, hair removal, makeup application, and the use of the appropriate application brushes, vacuum, and galvanic machine techniques.
ESTHETICS COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Our Esthetics / Facial course provides advanced skin care training with hands on learning to provide you with a complete understanding of the creative and scientific principles behind beautiful skin and professional skincare and professional makeup application.

METHOD OF INSTRUCTION:
Through classroom instruction, demonstrations, and clinical practice, you will be taught treatment techniques and services such as facial massage, the use of facial machines, hair removal, advanced treatments, and makeup techniques. Our instruction will be supplemented with visual aids, student exercises, presentations, and other instructional techniques. An important part of our educational program is preparing you with behavioral and people skill concepts such as attitude, communication, salesmanship, success psychology, job readiness, and professionalism.
Nail Technician Course - $7500

Our Nail Technician course includes instruction in both theory and practical experience.
Nail technology includes, sterilization, clinical sanitation and bacteriology, anatomy and physiology, state law, ethics, product knowledge, ingredients and usage of materials, manicuring, pedicures, EPA and OSHA requirements, nail artistry, nail wraps, sculptured nails, dip, nail tips, gel nails and nail safety.
